Abstract

DRACARYS!

This a fundus picture of the right eye of a 15 year old boy, a known case of B-cell Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia on maintenance therapy with CMV viremia. A large wedge shaped haemorrhagic lesion surrounded by dense white granular retinal infiltrates extending along the supero-temporal vascular arcade, not involving the macula and a smaller lesion in the infero-temporal quadrant was present in the right eye; left eye showed a small patch infero-temporarily. A diagnosis of both eyes CMV retinitis was made. OCT through the lesion in the right eye showed disruption of all retinal layers with few intra-retinal hyper-reflective dots. Patient was treated with systemic Ganciclovior and the lesions subsided.
